The art and collectibles market is filled with faked, flawed, or forged pieces that rely on an antiquated provenance system. We knew there could be only one solution—a new provenance structure that’s simple, secure, and immutable. One that protects the collectors as much as the creators, and is backed by the heart of the professional collectibles community.
We call it the Codex Protocol
Codex’s best-in-class technology provides a valuable solution.
Their approach serves the entire market, owners, creators and institutions, making them an obvious choice for anyone who cares about protecting the integrity and value of their collection.

How Codex Works
Create a Codex Record by adding images, a description, supporting documentation.
A digital token for the asset is added to your Codex collection.
Share the record during an appraisal, insurance assessment, or potential sale.
On sale, transfer the record to the new owner to document the transfer.
Codex is the leading decentralized asset registry for the $2 trillion arts & collectibles (“A&C”) ecosystem, which includes art, fine wine, collectible cars, antiques, decorative arts, coins, watches, jewelry, and more. Codex will be adopted by the Codex Consortium, a group of major stakeholders in the A&C space who facilitate over $6 Billion in sales to millions of bidders across tens of thousands of auctions from 5,000 auction houses in over 50 countries.
